How the rise of social media impact contemporary politics (A3)

The topic I chose in this audio is how the rise of social media impact contemporary politics. I have two main ideas on this topic. The first because of the rise of social media, I think politics says has become openly liberal. Secondly, It is precisely because of excessive democratization that the Internet ‘s influence on news reporting undermines here stability.

I mainly carry out my theme through the influence of social media on contemporary politics, mainly looking for examples around democracy, freedom and fake news. I also used Facebook as an example to get my point across.I have read a lot of reports and read a lot of news, but sometimes I find that a lot of news reports are in fact intended to make people think that what they see is true, but the problem is that there are still a lot of people digging for the truth behind it, maybe the media is one of them.So I think facebook is a very good place for my topic, and I get a lot of information from facebook, because I’m a regular user, so I know it relatively well. Secondly, I derived my final ideas and conclusions from various scholars on the Internet. As a result, I found that publishing gossip on social media has a great impact on society or politics, because gossip can dig into a lot of deep information. Similarly, for example, on social media, a read of a report went up, and people’s attention has increased. This influence is particularly large, and the middleman is social media.

Contemporary public opinion is almost a game that depends on which side you support. When the other side has a large number of people, you need to stand on the side with a lot of people. So it may also be because of the relationship between the majority of the population and social media, which has an impact on politics.Secondly, for example, the issue of democracy and freedom can be well publicized through social media. Democratic voting is probably like this. Many politicians will get support through popular votes. I may say Facebook For example, if you follow a politician, you can be a politician, such as a celebrity. The dynamic masses they usually send on social networks will be affected every day, because everyone ’s ideas are different, and the dynamics of celebrities may change your future thoughts. This is what they want to get people First step of support. Such as what i said in the audio This is an era of free speech. The media can expose and report the scandals of politicians freely. Politicians can also publicize and obtain support through the media. Therefore, in the 21st century when media technology is constantly updated and improved, his influence on politics is also great.

When I created this theme, I also encountered many difficulties, such as in the aspect of music. When using music, I did not know whether the music could be used or whether I would infringe the copyright of others, which was very important.Because there is a lot of music that is not available, this involves copyright issues. And this time the task is not to write an essay as usual, it requires my exact expression, so I also need to pay great attention when using other people’s expressions. For example, when I use a reference, I do n’t say the title or the author. It ’s just too tedious. But I have to say the author and his thoughts, and finally connect my thoughts. This problem bothers me very much.

Online identity

WordPress

Online identity can be better explained as my identity on the network, and the identity I want to show the people.  “When constructing personal web pages or the like, users themselves often imagine that they are revealing their “real” or “true” essence, a person or “me” who is unique, singular, and outside social constructions and constraints.” ( Smith,Watson,2014,P71).  We use different kinds of platforms on the web, In the online environment, most people prefer virtual identities on the Internet, the construction of online identity is in the form of a specific social platform, communicating specific content. In such a group, all members come together because of certain hobbies or identity characteristics, communicate issues that are of great concern to each other in communication, and use this to gain self-identity in the collective and realize their identity. For example, many people can find a sense of satisfaction and tolerance that cannot be obtained in reality through Internet mediaDifferent platforms show very different identities. Many people want to hide their true selves. Get inner satisfaction. In fact, there is a certain gap between real communication and network communication, and there is a certain virtuality. Use the Internet as your listener, your trash can, and there’s nothing wrong with that. If you don’t want to be seen as you really are, you can’t help it. Some people are very different from reality on the Internet, and some people insist on using real personal information. Everyone ’s understanding of the personal identity of the Internet is very different.

With the development of network technology, various kinds of social media meet people’s diverse social demands. “ The availability of multiple and heterogeneous sites for self presentation promises seemingly endless opportunities for conveying some “truth” about an “authentic” self for those with access to web technologies.” ( Smith,Watson,2014,P75) In different social scenes, everyone’s social image is different.Social is no longer confined to the same place at the same time, it makes strangers familiar and communicate with each other , there is a greater chance to find people with similar interests, and it also allows more people with common pursuit to come together to form a virtual Community circle. At present, the mainstream social software in China is WeChat. Through my personal experience of using WeChat. When i was using Wechat, I did not disguise my real identity when using wechat.Through my wechat profile picture, I prefer to use some of my favorite picture. Nowadays, many people prefer to change their avatars based on their self-emotion in real life when using online identity, so do I.Because of the popularity of the community and the contemporary, it is easier to change a profile picture as an expression of emotion, I think so.I don’t like the idea of using my online identity to disguise myself on social networks.I am a student, and my personal online identity has little impact on society. For celebrities, their online identity is a kind of camouflage, because their lives are always exposed to the public, so when they using wechat they can be themselves, because its more private.

Through my understanding of twitter, many celebrities, such as Obama, are mostly public online identities, But in his own personal life it’s more about communicating with friends and family, “ For much of the twentieth century, celebrities served as beacons of the public world.” (Marshall,P ,2010,P36). Means that when celebrities speak in public, because of their public identity, they will be followed on the Internet and become a standard. On twitter, I mainly deal with the social masses, which I think is totally different from WeChat. As a newly registered twitter user, I think twitter is a good public platform to use, For example, sharing opinions, or using different personal identities, at that point Twitter is better than WeChat in community discussions because it is like adding a shield to your online identity. which is different from the real one in real life when shaping personal identity. But through WeChat, I prefer to deal with my good friends and small groups. That’s why I like, oh no, even other people like to use WeChat, because it doesn’t burden our online identity too much. More on Twitter, I went back and learned to “shape” my identity to the outside world. On WeChat, I was more frank about my identity.

About me

Twitter

When creating a blog or a social platform, you can see what kind of person he is by the content shared by this person, and often the performance of a person in real life is very different from that on the Internet. My decision to Create twitter and wordpress, in this age, some people say that blogs are out of date, and now most people use mobile phones to watch Twitter, Facebook, etc. For anyone who is eager to make progress, writing blogs/articles/answers is huge for their growth. If you have something to say, just write it. If you have nothing to do, just feel free to do it. Since the moment you insist on writing, you have already begun to benefit. Many people use different software and communities to communicate with others, most people are using instagram and twitter to share their lifestyle. Because it makes them more relaxed, these communities tend to make people more relaxed and happy, but they are more about promoting their identity.

I was very confused when creating my own twitter and wordpress, because these sites all need to be related to each other. Especially when I created the website of about me , I couldn’t open the page and it made me depressed for a long time. When I click to read my article, it often doesn’t open. When I created the twitter page, the avatar I chose was my painting, and the background image was my hometown. The content I shared on twitter is the daily life I want to share, so I chose my profile, easylife. At the same time, I learned and learned different forms of photo publishing through twitter, such as hyperlink sharing photos, etc. When publishing a twitter and blog, it is actually a kind of sharing. The twitter app is more like a platform promotion, and it will help users find the community he needs. From this, I learned that everyone wants to spread information in various forms.

We don’t prefer to show real ideas to strangers, but in modern society, it’s too risky and expensive to show real ideas to an acquaintance. That’s why people need to use social software. Everyone has his own mask, through which people can simply release themselves.People unconsciously come into contact with social media software in the process of growing up. Only through these social media software can they expand their contacts, especially in the society.

A balanced perspective is the key to understanding the contemporary surveillance society in which we live.

Now many times we are monitored, through mobile phones or various media platforms.

Fingerprint is very important for today’s software. It can not only be used to pay, but also to keep your personal privacy. For example, like in the airport now, you need to press your thumbprint so that you can go through customs.

I have been using a Chinese app before shooting, and my theme is to discuss A balanced perspective is the key to understanding the contemporary surveillance society in which we live, so I will use the derivative of app zao to list Three different examples, first of all, I explained that you will reveal your facial information through zao, because today’s social facial recognition is very popular, although it is not popular (but I believe it will be more than fingerprint recognition in the next few years). welcome).

At the same time, the use of fingerprint recognition is quite extensive. Fingerprint recognition is required when paying for things or when passing customs, which represents a person’s identity information. So I combined the two ai recognition systems and started my topic with zao. At the same time, my theme may contain topics of surveillance, so I am thinking about stealing personal information through zao. Whether they will detect others through the camera of their mobile phone. (Because there have been computer games before, when I broadcast live, I will use a computer camera to monitor other people’s news) So this brings me to these three themes.

When I was shooting, I was thinking about the problem of light, so I found a place where the light was a little better. In fact, during the first two assessments, I didn’t talk too much about the topic of AI. In fact, I have been Focus on VR topics, but I believe that I should know more about AI this time.

In fact, you will never know what is really hidden behind the camera. In fact, there is danger behind the camera. It is likely that there will be remote control, and your personal privacy will be exposed to others.

In fact, for the topic of AI face recognition or deepfake, it is more controversial, and he has drawbacks and good places. But what is more hopeful is that this technology should not be used in the bad, because the so-called technology serves humanity, it should benefit society rather than add trouble to society.

Facial recognition systems have become so popular that they have both facilitated people’s lives and improved technology. Like paying for face recognition on the iphone.

It is because face payment is very popular now, while zao software encroaches on the right of portrait of others, my personal privacy will also be exposed. How much of a privacy issue this raises

Deep fakes

( include script)

In China, there is a very popular software called zao. This software is able to change the face of AI, and let your face replace the face of a star, so as to entertain. ZAO App’s functional introduction shows that you can use your face to make expression packs, perform classic movies, and play with idols.

The Zao app is now generally registered with a mobile phone number, plus facial images, many netizens are afraid of being used by illegal elements, through technology synthesis, even with family calls are difficult to find, or pay by faces

.Alipay believes that the 3D face recognition technology is used for face payment. Before the face recognition is done, it will also detect by the combination of software and hardware to determine whether the collected faces are generated by photos, videos or software simulation, and can effectively avoid the identity fraudulent situation caused by various face forgery.

Previously, CCTV 315 evening party had reported that a photo can deceive face recognition, let alone the dynamic “face”.

With the technology of face recognition, a photo can make blinking, opening mouth and turning head, which means that face recognition technology has been cracked.

The advantage of face recognition is convenient, but it does not mean that it is safe.

The right AI is to help people get better, not just simply lived in the non- real world.

ZAO’s popularity is not unexpected. Through AI technology, users can change their faces with stars of popular movies and TV works and perform with idol stars on the same stage. The effect of face fusion is very vivid.

It meets the needs of people to show themselves, form their ideal perfect image, and realize the innovative way of art market.

From the perspective of time and interest, we can see that the audience of AI Face Change Software “ZAO” is larger for men than for women, and more for 80-90 than for post-90s and post-00s, which is quite unexpected.

It seems that the psychological needs of post-80s men to show themselves are stronger.

Nowadays, more and more people pay for face recognition, and various apps also need face recognition. As mobile phones become more and more high-tech, the pixels become higher and higher. When photographing your identity will expose your identity.

For example, taking a picture of a phone with too many pixels will reveal your fingerprint, exposing your identity to the public

Introduce Yourself (Example Post)

This is an example post, originally published as part of Blogging University. Enroll in one of our ten programs, and start your blog right.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.

Why do this?

  • Because it gives new readers context. What are you about? Why should they read your blog?
  • Because it will help you focus you own ideas about your blog and what you’d like to do with it.

The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.

To help you get started, here are a few questions:

  • Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
  • What topics do you think you’ll write about?
  • Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
  • If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
